About Me

Hi, my name is Nara Shin.

My name means "New Nation" that my parents wanted me to make a new nation in this world where no one feels lonely, sad, and tired. With the meaning, I want to gift a better society people in hopeless situations by being their hopeful message that they have potentials to do everything. Graduating from Whitworth University with the dual Bachelor's degrees of Communications and Sociology, I want to take a step closer to my dream to help people through my talents of writing, social media management, and communication.

Scholarship Recipient Nara Shin Advocates for Multiculturalism at Her University

Nara started her higher education journey at the University of Georgia but decided to transfer to Whitworth in 2020 to attend a more accepting, non-discriminatory Christian insitution. At Whitworth, an upper-division international student serving as a Cultural Diversity Advocate (CDA) helped Nara adjust to the new environment by introducing her to the school and the city of Spokane.
